I know your not a fan of that business model either! From the one jacket I have seen and from the pictures posted Blackscissors really seems like just what it is = a cheap leather jacket. In my opinion that is not something that looks good on anyone I would much rather buy a non leather jacket if budget was restricting or save up some more and buy a jacket of good leather. Leather is really not something where quality can be compromised 🙂
I only have some vintage leather jackets which I rarely use anymore, as I am wearing longer jackets for the moment.
My knowledge concerning designer leather jackets is quite limited. I have only had one from Acne (the biker one from SS06) and I have to say that it was rather dissapointing both cut- and qualitywise. So I don’t know what to think. But I don’t think nappa (or at least most nappa) isn’t suitable for leather jackets. But that is just my opinion regarding leather in general. And most of the pics that blackscissors have posted show an awful DH rip-off, but I totally get why people want to get one done. Though I am not planning on getting one myself.
At the moment I am searching ebay.com for some great vintage leather jackets, but it is a risky business, as it is hard to judge something from pictures.
I like this allot, but I think it might be a little to simple for my taste without the jacket. I’m too looking for a leather jacket in this kind of style you wear here. But really can’t seem to find other than Dior homme, which I don’t want.

1) I would never support a company that promotes itself by copying other designs (even if the jacket one orders in itself may not be a copy)
2) I have seen one of their jackets and I was not impressed.

Have you checked Rick Owens? The RO quality is good but the leather thin so it is rather fragile… also check Julius = exccellent!
